MTA Partners With Shalom Task Force for ‘Go Purple Day’

MTA joined 12 other yeshiva high schools from six states on Wednesday, February 17, for Go Purple Day to raise awareness about domestic abuse and healthy relationships and teach talmidim about the importance of supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse within our communities. The day was presented in partnership with Shalom Task Force, whose mission is to create safe relationships, healthy families and a supportive community. The juniors had the opportunity to hear from a domestic abuse survivor and learn more about what they can do to create safe and supportive communities. Talmidim, including the sophomores who Zoomed in from home, also participated in a Go Purple themed Kahoot and everyone was treated to purple and white cookies thanks to Butterflake Bakery. Thank you to MTA’s Shalom Task Force Fellowship members and student leaders, Rafi Weil, and Eitan Zomberg, for partnering with the guidance department on this meaningful and important initiative!
