MTA students from all grades gathered in Yeshiva University’s Belfer Commons to celebrate Chanukah and Rosh Chodesh Teves. For breakfast, there was a delicious Chanukah-style brunch of sufganiot, ice cream and bagels. They boys then threw themselves into spirited dancing, with Eitan Katz providing incredible musical accompaniment, and YU Rosh Yeshiva Rav Moshe Weinberger joining the boys as they sang and danced around the room. University President Richard Joel came by to share in the simcha, and joined the boys in dancing, as well.

Afterward, Rav Weinberger delivered a powerful and personal d’var Torah on the importance of Tefillin, and the unique nature of Chanukah. The thoughtful quiet left after his d’var Torah was then filled by MTA’s Student Choir, which provided a soulful rendition of Lo Yehi. In all, it  was an incredible morning, and all the students greatly enjoyed the donuts, dancing, and divrei Torah.
