On Monday December 23, the MTA varsity basketball team went to JEC and came out with a big 62-47 win. The game started off tight, but MTA pulled ahead and never looked back.

Leading the way for MTA was senior guard Jakey Abenaim, who dropped 13 points, dished out two assists and swiped two steals. Junior Efraim Avramov had an almost double-double with 12 points, nine rebounds and two steals. He was everywhere on the court. Senior center Josh Treuhaft controlled the paint with eight rebounds, nine points and three assists.

The rest of the squad pitched in too. Junior Ethan Vaysman added seven points, while Binyamin Sheinfeld chipped in with six. Nochi Book and Gavi Engel both dropped five points each to help seal the win.
