On Saturday night, December 26, MTA played JEC in what turned out to be a thrilling game. It was a game of contrasts. MTA dominated play in the first half, and led 25-16 as the second quarter came to an end. However, in the second half, JEC began to chip away. By the end of the third quarter, JEC was trailing by just 6 and limited the MTA scoring to Binyamin Buchbinder, who scored all of MTA’s 9 points in that quarter (finishing with 20 points for the game). The score was tied at the end of regulation, when Ben Rabinowitz of JEC, who scored 9 of his points in the final quarter, hit a 3 from the right side with just 26 seconds to play. MTA called a timeout at this point but could not get off a decent shot as time expired. In the overtime period, MTA was limited to one foul shot and fell just short. The game ended with an MTA loss.
