Two weeks ago, the MTA Varsity Lions basketball team pulled off a great team win against Ramaz. Led by great big-man play by Josh Blumenthal and Ilan Steinmetz, who combined for 30 points, along with stellar defense from Gabi Bean and a couple of clutch threes from Willy Kluger, the Lions got their first victory of the season, 51-49, in front of the home crowd.

The Lions then took to the road to tangle with the Derech Ha Torah Bulldogs. MTA pulled off another nail-biter and captured their second straight victory 67-60. The Lions were led by Willy Kluger (23), Yosef Wildes (13), Daniel Mirsky (10) and Josh Matatov (10).

A couple of nights later, the Lions soundly defeated Kushner in a lopsided game, 45-19.
