After a rough start to the week with a loss to Frisch, the MTA Varsity Lions were determined to clinch a spot in the playoffs in their game against the Ramaz Rams on Wednesday night. The Lions came out of the gates firing, as goals from senior Yitzy Weiss and junior Yaakov Bienstock gave the Lions a quick 2-0 lead. After a scoreless second period, junior Gabe Isaacs netted two goals (while playing with a dislocated finger). When the final buzzer sounded the scoreboard read 4-0, thanks to an incredible shutout from senior goalie Max Herschkowitz. With this win the Lions secured a spot in the playoffs.
