Naaleh at 7: Celebrating Full Circle and Honoring Dedication At Its Annual Dinner

Rabbi Moshe Tzvi and Alisa Weinberg

(Courtesy of Naaleh) As Naaleh High School for Girls reaches its seventh year, this milestone is more than just a number, it’s a tribute to the remarkable journey of this special school. The annual dinner on Feb. 25 at Keter Torah in Teaneck, will be an opportunity to celebrate this journey, recognizing the individuals who have helped shape Naaleh into the thriving institution it is today.

At the heart of Naaleh’s success are those who have dedicated themselves to its students, community and future. This year, Naaleh is privileged to honor four sets of honorees, each of whom exemplifies the values of Torah, leadership and dedication that define Naaleh.

Orite Rubenstein

Guests of Honor Rabbi Moshe Tzvi and Alisa Weinberg are true role models for the community. Sought after for their spiritual guidance and Torah knowledge, the Weinbergs have been involved with Naaleh since its inception, whether through Rav Moshe Tzvi teaching his Machshava class to the students and offering advice, and Alisa’s active involvement in the annual school dinner as an integral part of the dinner committee. As mashpiah at Congregation Beth Abraham, and rebbe and mashgiach ruchani at the BMP Program at Yeshiva University, Rav Moshe Tzvi is able to be a role model to anyone he interacts with. As an active member of the community and beloved rebbetzin, Alisa has a magnetic personality and many seek out a connection with her. The annual dinner would not have the same flair without all of Alisa’s touches

Yosef and Shira Fine

Through honoring Yosef and Shira Fine with the Kesser Shem Tov Award, Naaleh is able to recognize a couple who are known for their selfless giving. Whether through their service to their shul, schools or Hatzalah, they are true paradigms of chesed. The Fine family have been staunch supporters of Naaleh school for the past four years and the school thanks them for all they have done.

As parents to a member of Naaleh’s inaugural class, it is very befitting to honor Larry and Danielle Kossove with the Parents of the Year Award. The Kossoves have been staunch supporters of Naaleh since its inception and have been a family that Naaleh can always count on, lending their expertise in the many different avenues they have been involved in. Whether in their involvement in the school board, finance committee or various school initiatives, the Kossoves are paradigms of the mantra, “If we can, we will!” While their last daughter graduates this year, Naaleh knows the Kossoves will always be parents they can count on.

Aliza Davis

Beloved educator Aliza Davis will be honored as Naaleh’s Faculty Honoree. As director of student life, Davis has changed so much of Naaleh for the better. Whether through her thoughtful, fun and memorable programming or running an incredible Naalehton each year, students have learned and grown as a result of her engaging programs. As the inaugural 11th grade mechanechet and a navi teacher, Davis also has the ability to inspire and teach many of the students who have walked through her classroom. A natural connector, many students seek out her advice and her office is always abuzz with activity, and Naaleh is thrilled to bestow this honor.

Larry and Danielle Kossove

Naaleh is also thrilled to present Orite Rubenstein with their inaugural Founders Award in recognition of all that she has done to help take Naaleh from a dream discussed around a dining room table to an actual reality.

Naaleh’s seventh annual dinner is more than just an evening of recognition — it is a testament to the strength of their community and the individuals who continue to propel Naaleh forward. Naaleh invites the community to celebrate this milestone.
