As part of their unit on genetics, Naaleh’s ninth grade biology students researched and wrote children’s books about various genetic diseases. They brought their books to Anshei Lubavitch Daycare Center, where they read their books to the children and had discussions about children who are born with differences. They gave out stickers and prizes to the children and loved seeing their finished products presented before an audience! It was a fabulous way for the students to not only concretize their own research, but to share their knowledge in a productive, meaningful and sensitive way.
