In honor of North American Inclusion Month (NAIM), REACH—the Naaleh chesed committee—partnered with Yachad’s campaign to sell “Buttons 4 Inclusion,” a collection of mini buttons designed with slogans and messages to promote inclusion and embrace differences in our community. REACH decorated a huge pan of brownies in Yachad’s signature colors, and sold them together with the pins, advertising “Buttons and Brownies for NAIM.” All proceeds were sent to Yachad to fund local and national programming to integrate teens with disabilities into the greater Jewish community.
The entire student body also had the opportunity to view “Right Footed,” an incredible documentary about a woman who was born without arms, but despite her disability, became a licensed pilot and martial artist. The film chronicles her journey, her struggles and victories—both personal and professional—and her commitment to spreading messages of resilience, faith and inclusion to the world.
