Naaleh Freshmen Virtually Tour The Met’s Egyptian Collection

As Pesach preparations begin to step up their pace, Naaleh’s ninth graders took a step back in time to fulfill the mitzvah of seeing themselves as if they were leaving Mitzrayim. Under the leadership of Elana Kaplan of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the students took a virtual tour of the Met’s Egyptian collection, learning about daily life for the Egyptians at the time of Yetzias Mitzrayim and learning about who might have been the Pharaoh depicted in the story of the Exodus. Students made connections to their history curriculum and saw firsthand how the lessons they learn in the classroom can connect to and enrich their Pesach experience.
