NCSY brought 18 Naaleh students, led by Rabbi Aryeh Wielgus, on a four day mission to Houston, Texas to continue the relief efforts after the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey in 2017. The students assisted with the building of a house, sorted food at the Houston food bank, and prepared sandwiches and snacks for homeless people living in downtown Houston. They also spent a unique and uplifting Shabbos at the Chabad-run Aishel House and were inspired by the work of the amazing Lazaroff family. While the students ultimately went to do chesed for others, the experience made a deep impact on them as well.
