On January 1, Naaleh had the privilege of hosting Rabbi Moshe Benovitz, managing director of NCSY. He spoke about the uniqueness of the Jewish people’s relationship to time and how we are supposed to interact with society’s new year. The speech made the students confront their place in the wider culture, especially at a time when the world’s response to the events in Israel have made Jews feel more isolated from society than ever. The students greatly appreciated this message and left with a renewed sense of unity with the worldwide Jewish community.
