In honor of Rachel Imeinu’s yahrzeit, Naaleh’s LIFT committee organized an inspiring Yom Tefillah. In considering Rachel’s trademark selflessness and the power of her prayer throughout our years of exile, each student wrote down a name of someone they know who is in need of tefillot, and then swapped names with a classmate. Each student was then assigned a perek of Tehillim to say in their zechut. As a school, the students completed the entire Sefer Tehillim, with each girl davening for someone else’s friend in need. Mrs. Senter shared powerful divrei chizuk with the girls, inspiring them to believe in the value of their sincere tefillot. The program ended with a student panel at which volunteers from each grade answered questions about their connection to tefillah, as well as their role models and tips that help them maintain focus.
