Last week, the Naaleh juniors enjoyed an amazing shabbaton. The theme of the weekend was “maavir al midosav,” letting things go and not holding onto grudges. After days spent on preparations, as well as pre-Shabbos ruach and kugel in school, the girls traveled to Passaic. The Friday night seudah was at Young Israel of Passaic, where the students heard an inspiring shiur from Rabbi Glasser and enjoyed a spirited faculty game of Headbandz. On Shabbos day, the girls had lunch with their host families and held a program for women and children with special needs. The day ended with an oneg and seuda shelishit at the Lifshitz home which included a panel of post-seminary girls sharing their wisdom, a game of Naaleh Apples to Apples, inspiration from guest speaker Norma Mintz, a student-led choir, as well as student divrei Torah, a kumzitz and zemiros. It was an amazing and inspiring weekend for all involved. Thank you so much to all the hosts!
