The Naaleh juniors went on a meaningful two-day trip to learn about different New York Jewish communities. Beginning in Satmar, they got a taste of communal chesed when they visited Bikur Cholim, the Rebbe’s home and the Kallah Gmach. Their exploration continued in Crown Heights, where they gained insights into Chabad’s mission at 770, The Jewish Museum, and heard from a panel of high school girls from Beis Rivka. Round-robin conversations at YDE were followed by a delightful dinner on Ave. J, setting the stage for an evening of fun activities at Activate at American Dream. After staying overnight in Mahwah, the girls ventured to New Square and then Monsey, where they learned more about the Yeshiva movement. In Manhattan, the students visited the Upper East Side and the Spanish Portuguese Shul, then attended the Yeshiva University seforim sale and met with YU leaders to gain a deeper understanding of Modern Orthodoxy. This whirlwind trip offered the students a glimpse at the unique perspectives and traditions shared within the rich tapestry of our vibrant culture. Meeting so many special individuals and important community organizations truly helped expand their appreciation of the true meaning of ahavas Yisrael.
