The ninth and 10th grade honors math classes designed roller coasters to demonstrate their understanding of piecewise functions using quadratic and linear equations. After naming their roller coaster and drawing it on a graph, the students calculated the equations and domains that represented the functions shown on the rollercoaster. What a great way to see how math and engineering go hand in hand!
