Last Wednesday, the tenth grade Israel advocacy classes had the opportunity to hear from Jolie Davies, the Tri-State StandWithUs coordinator. She spoke to the girls about the BDS movement, an anti-Israel and anti-Semitic movement targeting Israeli goods and intellectual property. Jolie explained that unfortunately many BDS supporters are on college campuses and students need to understand exactly the ideology they are espousing before attempting to refute their claims. This training helped students understand the “advocacy” component of the curriculum and enabled the students to actively support Israel and what it stands for.
