On the last day of school before break, Naaleh students tuned in for an engaging and inspiring shiur by Rabbi Tanchum Cohen about spiritual preparations for Pesach. Rabbi Cohen shared one of the many lessons one can learn from matzah, which must be made with ingredients that have the potential to become chametz. It is precisely these ingredients that Hashem requires us to use because our role in the process is key in determining the outcome; whether our recipe materializes as matzah or chametz is up to our diligence and intentional involvement. Rabbi Cohen challenged each student to perceive challenges as opportunities to grow and shift their perspective. He reminded the students that when they dedicate themselves to character refinement and they achieve that which was difficult, that accomplishment is extraordinarily valuable to Hashem.
