In partnership with OU Relief Missions, 13 Naaleh seniors flew to New Orleans to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Francine. Over two days, they volunteered with NECHAMA, helping to clear out and rebuild a home, and spent time at a homeless shelter, working in the kitchen to prepare meals. The group also heard from a Chabad shaliach about the importance of supporting all types of Jewish communities and visited a Jewish cemetery where thousands of damaged sefarim were buried after Hurricane Katrina. It was a meaningful experience of hands-on chesed and community responsibility.
