Naaleh Staff and Students Return

The week before school began, Naaleh’s dedicated faculty gathered for three days of enriching professional development sessions. From Dr. Norman Blumenthal’s insightful training for mechanchot, to Mindy Rosenthal’s keynote on ADHD and executive function, and informative presentations such as Julie Friedman’s session on how to balance the use of AI in the classrooms, the days were packed with valuable lessons and tools. Many Naaleh teachers also pursued individualized professional growth over the summer and are so eager to bring new techniques into their classrooms, to their students.

The students were given their own welcome back to school with fun-filled orientation activities. The Naaleh incoming freshmen had an introduction day at Naaleh, including an engaging building tour and quality time with their mechanchot. Later, they joined the 10th-12th graders for a scrumptious poke bowl lunch and the first official Eagle Huddle, and a mechanechet bonding activity. The Student Life team, led by Aliza Davis, rolled out this year’s school-wide theme of “Respectful, Respecting, Respected” with a creative and engaging breakout.

The Naaleh students and staff alike can’t wait for an amazing year.
