Naaleh’s STEAM opportunities are on the rise! Their new Student Tech Squad is composed of 20 students who help with technology at school events and in classes. Additionally, students from the Tech Squad are piloting “Blackbird,” a project oriented coding curriculum. As the recipient of two grants to help build up their STEAM program, Naaleh has been able to purchase 3D printers and pens, as well as robotics and other equipment. Additionally, Naaleh’s AP Computer Science Principles class earned the College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles. The class’s enrollment went up this year with 18 students, many who have never defined themselves as “tech people,” yet are enjoying and flourishing while dabbling with computers and code. In 2022, Naaleh, was one of the institutions recognized in the category of AP Computer Science Principles (CSP). Naaleh is so excited to give their students these amazing opportunities that will better prepare them for an ever-evolving technological career landscape.
