Naaleh Students Fundraise to Build Community in Israel

Every Wednesday in December, Naaleh’s Committee for Israel Awareness (CIA) prepared a full salad bar and sold dozens of salads to their peers and teachers as a fundraiser for the Eitam Development Campaign, a project initiated in memory of Ari Fuld, HY”D. After Fuld’s murder, his friends embarked on a journey to transform Givat Ha’Eitam, one of Efrat’s most valuable, yet barren, preserves, into a settlement full of homes and farms to protect and inhabit this unique area. Friends of Fuld—who lived in the Gush and dreamed of building and developing the beauty and accessibility of the land of Israel—view this initiative as a continuation of Fuld’s life’s work and a reflection of his values and ardent Zionism. From choosing this specific tzedaka, to chopping the vegetables and serving the salads, the Naaleh CIA has taken charge of this extraordinary endeavor, educating their peers and taking pride in their opportunity to build up the land of Israel in memory of a special hero.
