In a heartwarming display of chesed, members of Naaleh and 4G NCSY partnered with the OU Relief Mission to extend a helping hand to those in need in Houston. Over four days, they volunteered in various ways, from assisting at a food bank and sustainable farming initiatives, to setting up a pop-up café for the unhoused. Not stopping there, the group also took part in the reconstruction of a home for a family that had faced adversity twice—first during Hurricane Harvey and then again in the freeze of 2021. They then spent Shabbos at Aishel House to provide comfort and companionship to families facing medical challenges. It was an incredibly impactful trip, for the students as well as for those they assisted, showcasing the power of resilience and community support.
