Naaleh held an Eagle huddle to reflect on their continued response to supporting Eretz Yisroel in their time of need. The program began with a communal Mincha, followed by a moving video created by the student Committee for Israel Advocacy heads. The students were then asked to reflect on their initial reaction to the events of October 7 and that first burst of motivation to do everything and anything, both spiritual and material, to support Am Yisrael. The girls did a Post-It activity to assess whether they had maintained the kabbalos they had taken on in zechus of Eretz Yisrael. Impressively, many girls remained committed, but many also admitted to losing their motivation. The girls then heard from Rabbi Aryeh Wielgus about how to create lasting change. To end the program, the girls attended panels on the topic of noseh be’ol chaveiro, how we can carry someone else’s pain. The panelists shared their perspectives on how one can maintain normalcy while also caring about the difficulties others are facing. The program left everyone with a better ability to find the balance of supporting family in Israel even while moving on with their own lives so far away from it all.
