Dr. Efraim Zuroff, director of the Jerusalem office of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, and a Nazi hunter, visited the seventh and eighth grade classes at RPRY via Zoom from Jerusalem. Dr. Zuroff spoke about his decades-long quest for justice, pursuing and convicting war criminals for the atrocities they committed during the Holocaust. Dr. Zuroff also answered students’ questions about his work, what inspired him to pursue Nazi hunting, and how he succeeds in locating the criminals and bringing them to justice.
Dr. Zuroff said: “Think what this means: If you harm a Jew, another Jew will make sure you pay for it, even decades later. As Jews, we’re all responsible for one another.”
It was a meaningful opportunity for students to learn from Dr. Zuroff directly and ask him questions about his work. RPRY teaches its students our history as a people and empowers them through educational programs such as this to be a positive agents of change in the world.
