Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

The second I walked into the 4G Convention, I could feel it—the energy, the excitement, the sense that something big was about to happen. Over 250 girls chose to spend their weekend learning, growing and connecting, and from the very first moment, it was clear: This was going to be unforgettable. Returning for my second year, I already knew just how amazing this shabbaton would be, which only made me even more excited for what was to come.

The weekend was packed. Inspiring speakers, deep chaburas, nonstop dancing, late-night talks that somehow turned into life-changing conversations. This year’s theme, Hineni and Yisgaber K’Ari, made us ask ourselves: What does it really mean to be present in our Judaism and show up for Hashem? Not just in the big moments, but in the everyday choices that shape who we are.

Thursday night kicked things off with a crazy party boat—music blasting, girls dancing, everyone just so fully there, together. By Friday morning, we were already diving into all the incredible learning of 4G. We began with Chana Grove, who spoke about her journey to Judaism—the struggles, the doubts, the moments that changed everything and led her to the person she is today—leaving us reflecting on what those choices can look like in our own lives.

Then came the challah bake. We did it in honor of Agam Berger, the hostage who held on to Shabbos and Judaism even in captivity. Even there, she found a way to daven, to connect to Hashem. Hearing her story made me think: What would I do in her place? Do I appreciate Shabbos enough? As we braided the challah, the room filled with music, tefillah and dancing—but most of all, a sense that this challah bake meant something more.

Shabbos itself is where the most powerful moments of 4G happen, filled with unreal Torah and inspiration. We heard from Rabbi Mordechai Burg, Tova Polokoff, Rabbi Moshe Benovitz and R’ Yaniv Hoffman. Each speaker brought something different, but they all made us think about one thing: What does it mean to be present? To show up for Hashem, for ourselves, for the people around us?

One of the most inspiring aspects of 4G is witnessing everyone’s genuine desire to be inspired and grow. Every single night of the 4G Convention, after a full day of amazing programming, came Open BMG (Beis Medrash for Girls). At around midnight each night, the entire hotel lobby turned into a beis medrash, with girls filling every corner, sitting in groups, flipping through sefarim, asking questions, learning together. No one told us we had to be there. We just wanted to be. That’s what 4G is—a space where growing isn’t something we have to do—it’s something we want to do.

For the past two years, 4G NCSY has been an integral part of my weekly routine. Since my freshman year, I’ve made it a priority to attend every week, and it has been nothing short of an incredible experience. Through Tea Time (our weekly Tuesday night program in Lazy Bean) and BMG (our weekly Thursday night learning program in Ohr HaTorah), I’ve had the privilege of learning from truly inspiring advisers who have helped me grow into the best version of myself.

What truly makes 4G so special is the sense of family and belonging it has given me. I’ve created such strong connections with my advisers and made lifelong friends who share the same values and desire to grow. 4G Con 2025 was an unforgettable experience, one that I will carry with me forever. I can’t wait to bring all the inspiration and lessons from the weekend into 4G programming throughout the year!
