NCSY Brings Bears From Bergenfield to ‘In Need of a Hug’ Children in Puerto Rico

(Courtesy of Bears From Bergenfield) Students of Bergen County took off some time from preparing for the upcoming Thanksgiving meal. Who are these special students? Why our own Frisch students who shlepped Bears From Bergenfield stuffed toys to Puerto Rican children ready to embrace new friends. This group of students, along with a group of public high school students, were under the excellent guidance and stewardship of Rabbi Zev Kahane, dubbed as yet another “teddy bear man.” These Bergen County students visited a school and community center to distribute the 200 toys to waiting children with open arms and open hearts. Also, another special guest, Rabbi Ethan J. Katz, director of NCSY missions, arrived just in time for Shabbat to help share in the joy of giving and seeing more children opening up their arms as recipients, newly included in our circle of giving. Bears from Bergenfield is delighted to be able to partner with NCSY. We are in our third year of partnership with this wonderful organization. If you would like to donate, please contact Bears From Bergenfield at [email protected] or at 551-804-8749. Thank you bear-y much.
