(Courtesy of Kaplen JCC) To celebrate the holiday season, the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is offering a special offer for families who sign their children up for Neil Klatskin Day Camps next summer by December 30. In addition to receiving reduced weekly rates, families will save $250 for 5-8 weeks of camp or $150 for 1-4 weeks of camp.
The camp features a summer experience filled with adventure, nonstop fun and the chance to make lasting friendships. The camp is located on the JCC’s 21-acre campus, with three pools, sprinkler park, tennis courts, go-kart race track, sports fields, basketball courts and an exhilarating challenge course with zip line. Indoor activities take place in air-conditioned classrooms and gymnasiums. Children ages 3 and 4 are home based in the classrooms. Campers age 3 to kindergarten have head counselors who are certified educators.
Dynamic, age-appropriate programming is taught by experienced coaches and specialists, where campers can express their creativity in drama, music and the arts. They also learn to build skills in sports, Red Cross instructional swim, Krav Maga, yoga, ropes course, recreational swim, special events and so much more! Campers 6 years and older can tailor their experience to their particular interests by choosing electives from an exciting array of options. To infuse the camp with Jewish values and themes, camp celebrates a weekly Shabbat sing and Hebrew immersion options, which include counselors and specialists from Israel. All JCC camps are all-inclusive, providing lunch, snacks and towel service—so all parents need to do is send their campers with a bathing suit and a smile. Transportation and extended day options are available.
NKDC offers programs for children from age 3 to grade 2, Monday through Friday, from June 25 to August 17. The camp day runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (shorter days for preschoolers). Registration options include 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 weeks. NKDC offers children with special needs the opportunity to participate too. Contact the camp office for more details. Membership to the JCC is required for NKDC enrollment. The JCC offers a Summer Camp Family membership for $750 that runs Memorial Day-Labor Day ($250 for families who have never been a member of the JCC).
