This past weekend the New Jersey Avalanche spent a memorable Shabbat together at the Hershey Lodge. The team and their families were able to take part in the tournament and enjoy a special Shabbat. The hotel accommodated them by blocking out a conference room for davening and meals. The team played two games on Friday went back to the hotel and enjoyed a delicious catered Shabbat by Yakov Nahari. After Shabbat, they resumed play, followed by a BBQ and on to the championship Sunday where they won 5-0 and brought home the cup. The boys were excited and played amazing as a team. The team celebrated the big win at Chickies, their go-to place. Chickies’ owner Yitzy was ready for them, and in honor of the big win, gave each player a sandwich with a side order of fries. When asked about the win, the boys looked at each other and said “We win as a team. Each one of us made this happen.”
