Hey everyone, I am Akiva Mensh, and I have just started working with The Garb Cloud Consulting Group as an intern while I continue my studies at MTA. Right off the bat, they got me set up with an email, company smart phone, a laptop and introduced me to something called Microsoft Teams.
Honestly, it blew my mind. Everything was set up through email—no need to share any personal info. I could jump on calls from my phone or computer, and it was like being in two places at once!
Before this, I was all about WhatsApp and Zoom, but Teams? It is on another level. It works on your computer and your phone, which is perfect for when you are on the go. You cannot always be at your desk, right?
In a world where tech keeps changing how we talk and work together; Microsoft Teams is like a secret weapon. It is perfect for everything—whether you are planning events at the synagogue, running school programs, or just keeping up with friends. Teams let you chat, video call, share files, and even manage tasks all in one spot. It is like having your whole community in your pocket, no matter where you are or what time zone you are in.
For schools and educational stuff, Teams is a lifesaver. Teachers, students, and parents can all connect in ways that just were not possible before. Imagine getting your lessons, homework, and even chatting with your teachers all online. And for parents, it is a wonderful way to see how you are doing without having to wait for parent-teacher nights.
Teams have tons of cool features like chat, channels for different topics, meetings, and even calling. You can have one-on-one chats or group calls, share files right in the chat, and even use emojis to make things more fun. The channels can be open for anyone to join or private for specific stuff. Plus, you can have video meetings with up to 250 people, and they are even working on letting more people join.
One thing people do not talk about much is that you can make phone calls right from Teams. It is super handy for staying in touch, especially if you are not always at your desk. And with all the security stuff from Microsoft 365, like two-factor authentication and encryption, you know your chats are safe.
Since 2020 Teams began letting other apps join and is accessible on the same platform. Now you can use things like Zendesk and Asana right from Teams, which is super convenient.
Joining The Garb Cloud Consulting Group showed me how awesome Microsoft Teams is, especially for our community. They are pros at setting it up to fit exactly what you need, whether it is for a synagogue, school, or just staying connected. They know all the ins and outs of cloud tech and Microsoft stuff, which is cool.
If you are thinking about getting Teams or want to make it work better for you, you should talk to Garb Cloud Consulting Group. They will help you figure it all out and make sure you are getting the most out of it.
