As Rosh Hashanah is here, what is going to be the new tune of our song? In this week’s parsha, Haazinu, Moshe and Yehoshua composed a song about our mistakes. A song to remind us of what not to do, but also a song of hope and remembrance, that despite the falls, we still stand! We make mistakes, but as it says in Pirkei Avot, a Tzadik (righteous person) falls seven times and he gets back up. We may continue to make mistakes, but are we going to think we can’t change, we aren’t worthy of getting closer to Hashem, or being forgiven? No! We all need to get back up and recognize we are human and sin, ask Hashem for forgiveness, and try our best to change. We must write a new song of all the mitzvot and all the blessings that will come to us this year.

May we all recognize our mistakes and be able to change our ways for the better. May we all get closer to Hashem and be able to write a song of the beauty of Am Yisrael! May we all be forgiven and written in all the positive and good books this year— of health, happiness, parnasa tova and blessings! May we merit to see a new song of Mashiach, our hostages coming home, chayalim being safe and the unity of Am Yisrael!
