Camp 2016 is Coming:
With the holiday season almost behind us, camp is just around the corner. The administrators and staff at the Union Y have already gotten a head start on the summer 2016 preparations. Camp Chaverim, headed by Rabbi Yisroel Rich, promises another amazing summer experience for children from observant families. With Jewish learning and life incorporated into the program, each child reaches their maximum potential while enjoying sports, swims, trips, crafts, drama and specials events. Camp Kinneret infuses Israel into daily activities, focusing on Jewish culture while providing the ultimate camping experience. Camp Ahava is the “gan” or nursery program. Focusing on Jewish activities, these 3 and 4 year olds have wonderful and safe days on the Y grounds as they learn to swim, play sports and begin to socialize. The teen groups are tailored for trips, counselor training and chesed hours.
All in all, there is a camp division for everyone. Lunch is included on while “on campus”; campers pack a brown bag on trip days. Other options include bus transportation and early and late camp.
Brochures have already been mailed to former campers. To request information, call the Y at 908-289-8112 or access the website at www.unionycamps.org.
