After continuous exposure to exaggerated, one-sided, left-wing screaming all week, I hoped to enjoy a Shabbat respite, dealing only with uplifting Jewish news, insights and Torah. Unfortunately, the front page of The Jewish Link highlighted “progressive” protesters, these “heroes” providing the public with only one side of the real facts.
Their protests are misleading everyone into thinking President Trump placed a “ban” on immigration (it was a 90- to 120-day review/vetting of their true credentials) and is being too mean-spirited in his caution. I wonder if they would answer a few questions?
Do these protesters lock their doors at night or leave them open for anyone seeking refuge? Why not?
There were 60,000 “refugees” (most weren’t) who were delayed for further vetting. Are these protesters willing to take personal responsibility for any lethal harm done by even 1 percent of them who are now free to come in? What if the victims are their own sons and daughters?
Did these protesters publicly demand Obama let in refugees fleeing Boko Haram, the murders in Libya?
Do these protesters know that on the same day President Trump placed the ruling, an American marine was killed and three injured by an ambush in Somalia that was partially carried out by women and children using AK-47s? Now these “poor kids” could come right here.
Did any of these people publicly protest Barack Hussein Obama’s 2011 six-month ban on all refugees from Iraq? The same countries were targeted.
Most of the Islamic terrorists the FBI has been dealing with have no specific terror plans at the time that they enter this country. Some Islamic terrorists, like the Tsarnaev perpetrators of the Boston Marathon bombing, came here as children. Others, like Omar Mateen, the Pulse shooter, and Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood killer, contrived to be born in this country to foreign parents.
Did these protestors forget:
On November 18, 2013, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Issa Doreh was sentenced to 10 years in prison for “conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, conspiracy to provide material support to foreign terrorist organization, conspiracy to launder monetary instruments and providing material support to foreign terrorist organization.” Doreh was admitted to the United States as a refugee from Somalia.
On January 31, 2014, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Ahmed Nasir Taalil Mohamud was sentenced to six years in prison for conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. Mohamud was admitted to the United States as a refugee from Somalia.
On April 20, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, Abdurahman Yasin Daud, a Somalian refugee, was charged (along with six others) with conspiracy and attempt to provide material support to ISIS.
On February 18, 2015, Al-Hazmah Mohammed Jawad was arrested as he attempted to board a flight to Jordan to join and fight with ISIS in Iraq. Jawad was admitted to the United States in 2013 as an Iraqi refugee and he subsequently obtained a green card.
On January 29, 2013, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, Mohanad Shareef Hammadi was sentenced to life in prison for a number of offenses related to terrorism. Hammadi is a native of Iraq who was admitted to the United States as a refugee in 2009.
In 2009, Ramadan Alwan, an al Qaeda-Iraq terrorist living as a refugee in Bowling Green, Kentucky, later admitted in court that they’d attacked U.S. soldiers in Iraq.
In July 2016, Mohammad Daleel, 27, blew himself up outside a wine bar in Ansbach, Germany. Fifteen people were injured. Daleel was a refugee from Syria who had arrived in Germany in 2014 seeking asylum. (Source: Ray Starmann).
None of these people in your story are protesting that these seven nations (and others) ban Israelis from entering their countries! None of these people protested Obama’s $200+ million dollar reward in January to the PLO for bringing up Israeli settlements in the U.N. (in violation of the Oslo Accords) or the $10 billion reward smuggled to the U.N. for calling Jerusalem illegally occupied by Jews. Nope! That would be rational and fair-minded!
Please keep your paper fair, balanced and, if possible, non-political. The country is tired of these “sore loser, protest-until-I-am-blue-in-the face, free-speech-for-anyone-as-long-as-it-is-only-me, Clinton-really-won-even-if-she-didn’t crybabies.”
