On Sunday, May 21 at 10 a.m., NJ Y Camps, together with the Healthcare Foundation of NJ, will host a Zoom program headlined by Rabbi Shalom Hammer. Rabbi Hammer, a renowned speaker, educator and writer, will discuss mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
Rabbi Hammer is a senior lecturer for the Jewish Identity branch of the IDF, contributing writer to the Jerusalem Post and founder of Gila’s Way, a nonprofit that seeks to educate on mental health and suicide prevention. Rabbi Hammer founded Gila’s Way in memory of his daughter, Gila, who died by suicide.
