NORPAC Hosts Senator Robert Menendez in Englewood

(Courtesy of NORPAC) On Sunday morning, Joyce and Daniel Straus and Zahava and Moshael Straus hosted a NORPAC pro-Israel event for Senator Robert “Bob” Menendez (D-NJ) at their home in Englewood.

Bob Menendez has spent more than two decades in Congress as a representative and then senator of New Jersey. He is the former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, responsible for most major legislation related to America’s relationship with Israel. Menendez was one of four members of the Senate in his party to vote against the Iran Deal (“JCPOA”) in 2015. He is currently the ranking member of the Foreign Relations Committee.

During the event, Senator Menendez discussed his recent meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu and his appearance at AIPAC’s Policy Conference. He stated that he is committed to exploring new bipartisan legislation to sanction the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and stop Tehran’s terror funding in Syria and elsewhere around the world. He is also a cosponsor of the Taylor Force Act, which would cut off American funding to the Palestinian Authority for funds they give to the families of dead terrorists.

Menendez is currently serving his second term in the U.S. Senate and will be running for re-election this year.
