(Courtesy of NORPAC) On Sunday evening, Senator Shelley Moore Capito was welcomed back to the home of Lori and Kevin Lemmer in Englewood for a NORPAC pro-Israel event.
Shelley was elected in 2014 after having served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 14 years. She sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee; the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee; the Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee; and the Rules and Administration Committee.
This year, Senator Capito was an original co-sponsor of S.1, a bill that would approve the annual $3.3 billion in aid to Israel, increase American weapons stockpiles in Israel, and enact measures to ensure states can safely divest from companies that boycott Israel. She is also an original co-sponsor of S. Res. 120 — a resolution opposing efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel and the Global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement targeting Israel.
Senator Shelley Moore Capito will be up for re-election next November.
