On Sunday morning, July 20, NORPAC will welcome Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee, to Teaneck. In March 2013, Ros-Lehtinen introduced H.R. 938, the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2013. This bill, which declares Israel to be a major strategic partner of the U.S., reaffirms the U.S. commitment to enhancing security cooperation with Israel in pursuit of shared objectives, and encourages greater bilateral cooperation in the areas of cyber-security and the sciences. The congresswoman is arguably one of the most proactive supporters of US-Israel relations in the history of Congress.
