A 12-week Nurturing Parenting Class for both parents and children (ages 5-11), with separate groups running at the same time, will run September 27-December 20. The groups will be held Thursday evenings, 6 p.m.- 7:30 p.m., at the Jewish Family Service of Central NJ (JFSCNJ) Halpern Building, 655 Westfield Avenue, in Elizabeth.

The classes are modeled on a proven and effective evidence-based and trauma-informed program, and will be facilitated by licensed clinical social workers. The program is open to the entire Union County community. Handbooks will be provided and ample on-site parking is available. Light refreshments will be served (kosher dietary laws observed).
