OHEL Children’s Home and Family Services will host its 14th annual Rosemil HealthCare Golf & Tennis Classic Tournament on June 18 at the Engineers Country Club. The annual golf tournament is accompanied this year by an inaugural tennis tournament with a tennis pro on hand, where participants will be able to play one sport throughout the day. The new venue is in scenic Roslyn, New York, with expansive grounds containing the golf course, tennis courts, pool and clubhouse. Players and sponsors can also purchase raffle tickets to win amazing prizes.
The golf tournament format is a classic four-player Scramble beginning at 11 a.m. The tennis tournament will begin at noon. Both events will be preceded by a full buffet breakfast with a BBQ lunch served throughout the run of play. The tournaments will be followed by a cocktail reception, a gourmet buffet dinner, presentation of awards for winning teams and contests and raffle drawings.
Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships for children with disabilities in one of OHEL’s many summer camp programs, a crucial part of a child’s healthy social and emotional development.
Said Ben Englander, an event chair, “I am proud to be among the original chair people of this event, knowing that significant funds have been raised for OHEL as well as awareness of the critical programs of OHEL. It’s a great day for all golfers and tennis players and an equally great day for OHEL’s kids. It’s going to be another great year on the golf course and tennis court this year—so something to appeal to all. I urge all to come and join us for this event, as a way to build upon OHEL’s services to the community.”
Jeffrey Schwartz, Michelle Sulzberberger, Jonathan Marks and Israel Kaufman join Englander as chairpersons of the event.
