Ohr Yisroel hosted a fantastic parent/talmid learning program this past Monday. The yeshiva is extremely proud of the close relationship between its rebbeim and its families and there was no better way to connect on a day off than to do so learning together. It was a tremendous opportunity for talmidim to share the learning they experience every day with their families and for parents to feel the warmth and meaning that is part and parcel of every shiur at Ohr Yisroel. The program began with shacharis followed by a huge breakfast, during which those present were greeted by Rabbi Yitz Greenman. Rabbi Elon Soniker then introduced the program after which everyone split up into their regular shiurim for a special parent/talmid edition of shiur. The program culminated with a moving kumzitz led by Rabbi Soniker. It was truly a special event all around and genuinely no surprise that after spending just a few hours in the building, one parent described the yeshiva as “magical.”
