Goldberg has been in the insurance business for the past 18 years. A licensed insurance agent, Goldberg has spent the past 10 years helping professionals and companies with health insurance.

“For the first eight years of my career, my primary focus was helping people out with any service needs. I helped handle insurance renewals and people would contact me if they had a claims issue. For the past 10 years I’ve handled all aspects of client renewal and client benefits,” Goldberg told The Jewish Link. “For the past two years I’ve really been focusing on Medicare. Medicare is extremely confusing, and once people retire it can be very scary trying to figure out their insurance choices by themselves without the benefit of their company-benefits person to explain Medicare and the different plans and payments. There are a lot of nuances to the different plans. There are also a lot of advertisements that make it even more confusing. Each year at renewal time I check in with my clients and find out if there have been any changes in their lives. Sometimes people need more medical benefits as they get older. Most importantly, I help them find the proper fit for them.”

While Medicare is a specialty of Goldberg’s, he also works with doctors’ offices, lawyers, architects and engineers, helping them with their benefits. He similarly guides those on disability in finding the best plan for them based on their needs.

Customer service is of paramount importance to Goldberg, which is why he prides himself on prompt, personal service. “I don’t just sell my clients a policy and go away. I pride myself on my service and should anybody ever have a claim issue or service issue, I enjoy that communication with my clients. I will always advocate for them. To me it’s an ongoing relationship and I go to bat for them to maintain the relationship. I have clients who have been with me for 10 years. Even as some clients have aged, I’ve been able to help them find new, more-appropriate plans.”

Goldberg has lived in Bergen County his entire life. He grew up in Englewood, was in the first graduating class of (R) YNJ, attended TABC and has lived in Teaneck for the past 18 years.
