Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Rarely do I share of any my acclaimed recipes, but since it’s Adar, this is a great one!

Ingredients:

6-7 lb. chicken

1 cup melted margarine

1 cup stuffing

1 cup uncooked popcorn

salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken well with melted margarine, salt and pepper.

Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn.

Place in baking pan in oven.

Listen for popping sounds; when chicken’s carcass blows out the oven door and flies across the room, chicken is done.

I am working on an arrangement to catch the chicken as it flies across the kitchen. I tried a short tether but it broke. A stronger tether pulled the legs off as the “chicken done” signal popped. I have found, if I use a Teflon pan, the chicken will fly 9 feet, at 45 degrees, and land directly on the table, on a serving plate. (I had to move the table a little.)

I’m now working on how to use popcorn to make mashed potatoes.

And you thought I couldn’t cook…
