Open Communication Is Invited and Welcomed by Mayor Schmelz

In response to last week’s “What Were They Thinking?,” (September 13, 2018) I want to first say that I was a proponent of paving Highgate Terrace and went on record saying it should be paved at public meetings. As far as the crosswalk and work that has and will be done by the county, the communication between all parties involved should be better and I will work on a way with the council and the shul to keep everyone better informed of what is going on. I think we can always have better communication. I do not campaign at houses of worship but would love to come to any event that you have by invitation, like I do with many of the congregations we have in town. I also have always been very accessible, having my phone and email on the borough website, and welcome any concerns you have at any time. Anyone can feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to get you an answer as soon as possible. Call my cell at 201-359-7412 or email [email protected].
