(Courtesy of OU) More than 2,000 people are expected at the Orthodox Union’s (OU) Seventh International Jewish Community Home & Job Relocation Fair, which will showcase a record-breaking 63 communities from the U.S. and Israel on Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Metropolitan Pavilion at 125 West 18th Street in Manhattan, 12-6 p.m.
Families and individuals interested in relocating can learn about the amenities, schools, local infrastructure and potential employment opportunities of the participating communities. Special workshops will be available for first-time homebuyers and for those contemplating aliyah, which will be facilitated by Nefesh B’Nefesh.
The event will bring together 57 communities from 19 states throughout North America and six communities in Israel, including: Albany, New York; Allentown, Pennsylvania; Atlanta, Georgia; Greater Boston (Brighton, Brookline, Cambridge, Malden, Newton and Sharon), Massachusetts; Charleston, South Carolina; Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Chesterfield, Missouri; Cincinnati, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; East Brunswick, New Jersey; Elizabeth/Hillside, New Jersey; Elkins Park, Pennsylvania; Fleetwood, New York; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Highland Park/Edison, New Jersey; Houston, Texas; La Jolla, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Linden, New Jersey; Livingston, New Jersey; Longmeadow/Springfield, Massachusetts; Louisville, Kentucky; Marlboro/Manalapan, New Jersey; Memphis, TN; Merrick, New York; Mount Kisco, New York; Norfolk, Virginia; North Bellmore, New York; North Jersey Sephardic Communities (Fort Lee, Paramus, Teaneck and West Orange); Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Oak Park, Michigan; Overland Park/Kansas City, Kansas; Parsippany, New Jersey; Plainview, New York; Randolph/Mount Freedom, New Jersey; Richmond, Virginia; Scottsdale, Arizona; Somerton/Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; South Bend, Indiana; South New Rochelle, New York; Southfield, Michigan; Springfield, New Jersey; St. Louis, Missouri; Stamford, Connecticut; Staten Island, New York; Syracuse, New York; West Hartford, Connecticut; West Orange, New Jersey; and Wynnewood/Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Israeli communities include Efrat, Jerusalem, Modiin, Bet Shemesh/Ramat Bet Shemesh and smaller communities in the North and South.
“The success of the fair both in terms of the number of communities and diversity of geographies shows how Torah and Jewish life is growing across the country,” said Orthodox Union President Moishe Bane. “The OU is proud to be able to facilitate a forum to bring families and communities closer to one another.”

“The response to this program has been incredible. Since our last fair in 2017, over 250 families have relocated to communities that were showcased at this event,” said Orthodox Union Director of Community Programs Rebbetzin Judi Steinig.
