Parshat Tazria Means It’s Almost Pesach

This week’s parsha is Tazria, which discusses laws of purity and tzara’at, which is leprosy. There’s not much parsha food to make here so we will be making a recipe for Pesach instead, which is coming up very soon. It’s healthy, too.

Banana Bread Blondies

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1¾ cups almond flour
  • Chocolate chips or blueberries

Directions:

1. Blend first five ingredients.

2. Add in baking soda and almond flour, blend again.

3. Pour into a 9×13-inch baking pan and sprinkle chocolate chips or blueberries on top. (You can bake these in 8 muffin cups, too.)

4. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes, let rest and then cut into squares.
