Pesach, Lace Tops, Lace Fronts and Corona: Reasons to Buy Your Wig Now

By now, you have all probably been flooded with unbelievable pictures on Instagram of the most natural looking wigs featuring realistic customized hairlines. These wigs are currently the hottest selling wigs on the market because of their hairlines, which are known as “lace tops” and “lace front wigs.”

Lace tops and lace front wigs are ideal for those women who do not want bangs in their wigs and want a natural looking hairline. They also are currently the most natural looking wigs for those who do not want to take out the front of their hair on a regular sheitel due to religious reasons. These wigs are also ideal for women with thinning hairlines who have a hard time creating a natural looking hairline with other types of sheitels, as well as for those who don’t want to keep up with constantly coloring the gray hairs at the front of their hairline.

A lace top wig lives up to its name, with the top of the wig made with lace. Hair is ventilated (a method of attaching the hair to the lace) and each hair is ventilated by hand one at a time. A machine cannot mimic this natural look. Therefore, the process is very time consuming.

A lace front differs from a full lace top wig in that a lace front is a piece of lace that is attached to just the very front of a regular wig that contains a multi-directional part. The goal of the lace front is to help soften the line from the wig to one’s hairline, thereby making the sheitel appear more natural. A lace front can be added to almost any wig and can cost anywhere from $400-$800, in addition to the price of the wig. Obviously, the more natural looking the lace, the more expensive it will be. The more natural looking laces are more transparent and made with a thinner material, which also makes them much more delicate. It is for this reason I have created two different lines of lace tops, a thinner, more transparent lace that is extremely natural looking and delicate, as well as a thicker lace that will be a bit more durable.

It is really hard to believe that in just eight weeks we will all be sitting at our Pesach seders, so it is important to book your appointment today. Each of these handcrafted wigs, only started after your hairline is traced and measured, takes six-eight weeks to create. More time will be needed if you will want the wig cut and colored.

Our pre-Pesach sale will take place Feb. 8-15, by private appointment only, at a savings of $250 per wig. (Due to COVID, factories have had to increase their pricing to cover their additional costs; however, all lace top and lace front wigs purchased during sale will remain at pre-COVID pricing.)

To make an appointment, text or call (201) 694-5319 and enjoy your perfect and stunning new wig for Pesach.
