(Courtesy of Project Ezrah) Even though Purim is not yet behind us, many of us are already thinking ahead to Pesach. This year, more and more of our neighbors are feeling the long-term effects of inflation and are finding it increasingly difficult to stay afloat financially. This, coupled with the additional stressors that accompany Pesach planning, can escalate conventional challenges into enduring financial problems.
Every year, Project Ezrah significantly assists members of the community in making Pesach. The number of families in our community that need assistance has drastically risen over the last two years, making the struggle to make Pesach even greater for many more families now more than ever.
To reach more people who need support, two years ago Project Ezrah opened a grant application for anyone in need of financial assistance for Pesach. The organization is proud to announce that those applications are again open on its website, Ezrah.org. These grants are intended to help relieve a bit of the stress of the holiday and help families get what they need for Yom Tov. It also enables Project Ezrah to help community members access other resources they may not know about.
If you would like to apply for the Pesach grant, please go to Ezrah.org and fill out the application. Grants will be disbursed on a rolling basis. All applications must be submitted by April 1. If you want to donate to this initiative, please go to Ezrah.org and click on the Maot Chittim banner.
