Politicians Call for Drastic Steps to Halt Escalation of Terror Attacks

Hours after the terror attack at the Tel Aviv train station and not long after the stabbing attack in Gush Etzion that killed one Israeli and injured two others, an Israeli car was stoned in the Negev at approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday. This follows JerusalemOnline reporting that cars traveling between Gush Etzion and Jerusalem were stoned that morning. Israeli MKs and Ministers expressed their outrage about the recent escalation in terror attacks.

“Terrorism does not distinguish between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv,” MK Tzippi Hotovely stated. “A wave of Arab terrorism is spreading across the country and this does result in a loss of personal security. Those who abandon the sovereignty of the Temple Mount accept terrorism across Israel.”

“The citizens of Israel continue to pay the difficult price due to the lack of decision in the Gaza Strip,” MK Danny Danon stressed. “We must act with a heavy hand and the architects of terrorism must pay a price together. Abu Mazen and Hamas have one goal, the destruction of Israel.”

“Terrorists need to be eliminated, period,” Israeli Housing Minister Uri Ariel stressed, adding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needs to free the hands of the Israeli security forces to deal with this phenomenon: “Abu Mazen and other members of his terrorist government incite the Arab public to murder innocent Jews and the security forces are busy containing the rage.”
