Meorot 2025 is our sixth performance since the inception of Meorot. How can we possibly put our feelings about Meorot into words? For us, Meorot is measured in time dedicated, in relationships developed and deepened, in smiles and tears from audience members, and in, hopefully, merits received for our efforts.
Meorot is a volunteer endeavor on our part, but we feel that every second is well worth it. Meorot combines our passion for music and song, dance and creativity. One of the most fulfilling responses we received was that the music this year was familiar to audience members; they loved singing along and getting excited about songs that they already knew and loved. Our goal for Meorot is that the audience should be able to sit in the theater and say, “This is something that I know and love.”
Whether you come to see your own daughters, your granddaughters, or your neighbors – we are all a part of this. Engaging the women of the entire community to be part of something so special is what drives us. We love connecting with the girls, especially in the choir, but with all the girls – we love seeing them get excited backstage, we love performing with our mom Mrs. Roberta Shapiro, and we love hearing from you, our friends and family and extended audience members, about how much you loved Meorot. Seeing our rebbetzins, especially Rebbeztin Neuburger, Rebbetzin Sobolofsky, Rebbetzin Zahtz, Rebbetzin Simon, Rebbetzin Strauchler and Rebbetzin Cohen there to greet us, support us and cheer us on gives us a lot of chizuk. We’re thankful to Miriam Pfeiffer, who produces our show and to NCSY Summer for collaborating with us and giving us the opportunity to do this for the girls and with the girls.
