(Courtesy of Lamdeinu) Are you ready to gear up for Purim 5782?
Start your preparations on Mondays and Wednesdays at Lamdeinu!
For a visual and educational delight, join Rabbanit Geula Twersky on Mondays, February 14, 28 and March 7 at 1 p.m. for a journey through “Megillat Esther in Archaeology and Art.” Enlighten yourself on the historical context of the Purim story as well as its representation in the art of Rembrandt and other great masters. All classes are self-contained and you may join at any time.
Rabbanit Twersky is a professional artist as well as a student of Bible and archaeology. Her art interweaves Jewish tradition, history and the many facets of her own life.
To complete your Purim preparations, join Rav Yitzchak Twersky at Lamdeinu for an original and creative approach to Megillat Esther. “Life Lessons of Megillat Esther” takes place Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. on February 2, 9, 26 and 23, and on March 2 and 9. Study the history, background, characters and plot of Megillat Esther from a peshat perspective and through the lens of midrash. Each class is stand-alone—you may sign up for one or all.
Rav Twersky was a beloved and revered senior rabbi and chairman of the Tanach department at Frisch for 14 years. Rav Twersky lectures annually in Herzog’s Yemei Iyun BeTanach. He has Yoreh Yoreh and Yadin Yadin semicha as well as a master’s degree in Jewish history from Yeshiva University.
